Current Status
Plans have been produced and following meetings with the architect and quantity surveyor, it has become clear that the costs involved to rebuild the Church Rooms would exceed £200,000. The Trustees have therefore put this item on hold and will explore other possibilities.
We set up a project to renovate the Church Rooms. Mr Denis Tuttle an architect specialising in historic and church buildings, kindly offered his services on a pro bono basis and prepared plans to enable us to prepare a project plan in order that we could raise the necessary finance to make this a fine facility for the use of the whole community.
It has subsequently become clear that the costs involved in this project of over £200,000 are prohibitive and cannot be fully justified
We are exploring alternative ways of making this building a useable asset for the community, but without more involvement from the community, we regret that this building will remain closed.
